JAM is a leading music academy on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, based in Killarney Heights and supporting students of all ages and abilities.
Founded in 2017, JAM was created with a clear mission: to provide proper teaching and real musicianship for students of all ages and abilities. Led by respected musicians and educators Nic Jeffries and Michael Walder, JAM brings together a team of more than fifteen highly experienced and qualified tutors, offering expert tuition across drums, percussion, double bass, bass guitar, guitar, flute, saxophone, voice, trumpet, clarinet, trombone, euphonium, French horn and piano.
The JAM philosophy on music education is “motivation through inspiration”. We believe students deserve to learn from teachers who inspire them to become the best young musicians they can be, while providing a positive, supportive and encouraging learning environment. Since opening in 2017, JAM has grown into one of the leading music academies on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, working closely alongside school band directors and school music programs to support students’ musical development. Our tutors are active members of the music industry — professional musicians and educators who “walk the talk” and bring real-world musicianship, experience and passion into every lesson.
