Annabella is a pianist, educator and church musician with a Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours from the University of Waikato Conservatorium of Music in New Zealand, where she studied piano performance with the late Katherine Austin.

She has a particular interest in solo keyboard works from the Baroque and Classical periods, performed on the modern piano, and also enjoys exploring the German art song repertoire. In 2022, Annabella was selected as a finalist in the postgraduate category of the University of Waikato’s inaugural Bach Competition.

Alongside her musical training, Annabella has a keen interest in languages and holds a Graduate Diploma in French. Since moving to Sydney, she has also developed a new musical passion through her work as a church musician, performing as both an organist and chorister.

As a teacher, Annabella brings a thoughtful and analytical approach to lessons. Her teaching balances strong technical foundations — helping students use the body in a way that best serves the music — with musical understanding, interpretation and theory. A self-professed “theory nerd”, she enjoys helping students build both confidence and curiosity at the piano.
