A passionate trombonist, composer and educator, Damon holds a Bachelor of Music in Composition for Creative Industries from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. With more than five years’ experience teaching lower brass, Damon draws on his background in both classical and jazz music to help young musicians develop strong technique, confidence and musical understanding.

In addition to instrumental tuition, Damon also offers guidance in music composition and music theory. Whether students are preparing for school assessments, AMEB theory examinations, composing original works, or simply looking to deepen their understanding of music, Damon is able to provide engaging, practical instruction tailored to their goals.

A versatile performer, Damon has played across jazz, funk, rock and pop ensembles, and has written and released original music for a range of creative projects. His broad musical experience allows him to bring both technical knowledge and real-world musicianship into his teaching.

As an educator, Damon brings a calm, encouraging and supportive presence to every lesson. He is passionate about helping students build a solid musical foundation while inspiring them to develop confidence, creativity and a lifelong love of music.

Damon is also a valued member of the JAM administration team, supporting the day-to-day running of the school and helping create a welcoming, organised environment for students and families.
