Nic Jeffries is the Founder and Co-Director of Jeffries Academy of Music. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and is widely respected across Australia as a vocalist, saxophonist, educator and arts leader.

Known for his warm, soulful voice and expressive musicianship, Nic has built a diverse career spanning festivals, concert halls, television and major live performances. His distinctive sound blends jazz, soul and contemporary influences, drawing inspiration from artists such as Donny Hathaway, Frank Sinatra and James Taylor.

In 2016, Nic appeared on The Voice Australia, where he turned all four coaches’ chairs and worked with internationally renowned artist Ronan Keating. He has also performed alongside many of Australia’s leading artists, including Guy Sebastian, Renée Geyer, Damien Leith, Steve Balbi of Noiseworks, Mark Gable of The Choirboys, and Australian jazz icon James Morrison.

Nic’s commitment to musical excellence began early, receiving a perfect score of 100% for HSC Music Performance in 2001 and being selected to perform in the HSC Encore Series. He released his debut album in 2011 and has since spent more than a decade performing throughout Australia, both under his own name and with The Graduates.

Alongside his performance career, Nic has made a significant contribution to music education and youth arts development. Since 2023, he has served as Executive Director of Adelaide Youth Orchestras, where he continues to support and inspire the next generation of young Australian musicians.

Through his work at JAM, Nic remains passionate about helping students develop confidence, creativity, strong musicianship and a lifelong love of music.
